Thirty years pass in this story prior to chapter two. The protagonist, Aldos, valiantly defended the land against the malevolent dark elf mage, Darius, in the tranquil elf village. After triumphing, however, Aldos learned a startling truth: Kora, Darius’s daughter, genuinely desired retribution against him and his family. Aldos was instructed by the king to get rid of all Darius’s relatives. Aldos is a good man, but he was unable to harm Kora, the little child. So he decided to be generous and give her life. However, this choice set off a series of unfortunate events for Aldos.
Afterwards, Aldos returned to his village where he led a contented life alongside his spouse Sephira and their two children, Ryuuji and Lire. But ten years later, the only person to have survived the battle with Darius, Glavius, returned, bringing the past with him. He informed Aldos that Darius, the evil mage that Aldos believed to be dead, was on the verge of returning. Glavius and Aldos had to avert this catastrophe.
However, Aldos was unaware that a terrible thing was going on behind his back. Once upon a time, Aldos’s friend Glavius made Sephira do terrible things. He vowed to inform the king that Darius’s daughter was spared by Aldos. Sephira’s goodness gradually began to erode on this journey when Glavius forced her to do mischievous things against her better judgment.
