Bad Memories [v0.9b + Walkthrough & Gallery Mod] [recreation]

How to install game:

v0.9b
Currently there are a little over 1400 renders and 23 animations for this update, but of course I’m still working on it, so there will be more.
There are several fixes included in the update, some adjustments, new settings, and I’ve also decided to remove the color picker for the text completely. It’s just such a mess and causes more trouble than it’s worth tbh.
There are still renders missing, and not all of the scenes are final, but overall, everything is mostly there, and it will give you a good look of what the full update is going to be.
As usual with beta’s, expect bugs and maybe some weird stuff happening.
I can’t guarantee everything working without such beta’s.
I also can’t guarantee save compatibility anymore from this point onwards, at least up until version 1.0 (we’re at 0.9, so…), since I have to make several code changes for the final release, and will remove temp fixes I did ages ago for save compatibility between updates, those will be redundant in the final release.
Anyway, I hope you’ll have fun testing the beta, and please report any bugs you might find.

– the “change camera” function had a bug that made it necessary to click twice to change the view after the first click; fixed

– added the option to increase the font size in preferences
– changed how the mc name variable is saved (again), that hopefully prevents the random loop error some people had
– made a small code change in the gallery, I didn’t add new content, but this change should allow to see both, male and female scenes when seen in game

I did some other stuff as well, but I lost my changelog file (the same file that included the planed scenes) and simply don’t remember it all !

The game focuses heavily on the story and some of the scenes can be considered drama (hence the name), but the overall game is more like a thriller. For now there aren’t many choices to be made. At first glance the story and characters might look like your usual boring mainstream stuff: MC moving/starts a new life, the cute little sister, the hot mom, the naughty friend… but I tried to take a different approach with this and some of it is already noticable really early in this version, and there will be more in the next update.
This is my first game release and a smaller project than I had actually planed. I was working on something bigger but coming back to it after some rl issues, I had to realize that I made several mistakes due to my lack of knowledge at that time, and I would have to swap the engine and start to rewrite everything if I wanted to continue. So I decided to make it more simple instead, lowered the scope of the game and use it to learn and grow with it and start something entirely new when I’m finished with this one. I hope this smaller version is still entertaining enough for you guys and gals and I will do my best to make the game as good as I possibly can.
Also I want to mention that this is a hobby project. I do have a real life and a job. Things are done when they are done

pc install: Unzip to the “game” folder.

MEGA WORKUPLOAD *For (0.8.5)  **PC: Unzip the mod and put the folder named “game” from the mod in your “Bad-Memories-0.*-pc” folder. Overwrite files if required.

MAC: Unzip the mod -> Right-click your “Bad-Memories” app -> Click “Show Package Contents” -> Open the “Contents” then “Resources” folders -> Hold the Option key and drag the folder named “game” from the mod to the “autorun” folder -> Click merge
