Hey guys, long time no see, huh?
Prepare yourself because that’s a fat ass changelog.

I’m not going to beat around the bush: I’m working on a second game.
I got bored of Life’s Payback after 90 sex scenes and completely burned out during this last update.

I’m not having fun anymore. I’ve pushed this hentai engine (and myself) to its absolute limit, and right now continuing would just feel like grinding the same mechanics over and over. That wouldn’t be fair to you or to me. The story and characters deserve better than being dragged out when my passion has faded.

I can’t force myself to work more than 3–4 hours a day on it anymore without feeling miserable, so it’s time to step away.

To compensate, I’ve started something completely new that actually excites me again: a bigger challenge, a different tone, fresh mechanics, a new engine approach, and (hopefully) a real step forward for me as a creator.

I’m not abandoning Life’s Payback forever. The game is still there, fully playable, with every scene and update staying available. But active development is on hold. If the spark ever comes back, I might return to it. For now though, I need to work on something that keeps me up late coding because I can’t stop thinking about it.

Thank you for all the support on Life’s Payback, the comments, fan art, encouragement, memes… it meant a lot and carried me through some very long nights.

The new project will use the power of Daz Studio and is still going to be heavy Maledom, with the same other themes you love so much in Life’s payback, hehe.

Expect real gameplay mechanics: combat system (similar to the Lumeria arc), meaningful choices that actually change the game, item crafting, resource gathering, and more.

So, as you can tell, before I eventually come back to Life’s Payback to give it a proper ending, the next content to be delivered is the prologue of my new game.

WHAT’S UP GUYS!
I’m so sorry to be so late. First of all, I owe you an explanation on why it took me 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks. I’ve faced a lot of issues during this update, but I’ve also had a lot of work to do on the scenery and the new character took me a god damn time to create and implement in the game (Wait, what? There’s a new character?)
Yes my friend, you read it right, there’s a new character to fuck, my friend.
Let’s fucking go. That still doesn’t say why I was so late on this update, so here is a list of my mistakes to be completely transparent with you guys :

• Unefficiency in the events pathing : That may sound ridiculous, but it’s actually hard to have a proper writing with a character who can only say “Meow”. I’ve redone the way the events unfold in the v1.9 a lot of time. Hopefully I’ve managed to make a writing decent enough to keep you interested!
• Exagerated perfectionism : That downside of my personality made me redo a few events and animations after changing major details. For example, I’ve completely redone the new character 3 times (face, body proportions, etc…) while the animations and renders were already done (yeah, I’m not even kidding)…
• A break was required : I’ve wasted 2 days worth of coding for a system which ended up not working. The goal was to make a clickable animated character instead of having the “talk” button next to them (Remember Sarah’s bedroom in the evening?). So yeah, I needed a side_mask with a transparent background and shit. I gave up, that was too much work. So after wasting these 2 days I needed a mental break, so I took a 3 days break.
• Diversity : There’s a lot of diversity in the sex positions in this update, which made a heavier workload.

What’s up guys, the v1.8 is finally here!
A lot of things got in my way during this update, but I eventually finished it.
Sorry again for having postponed the update a few days later, my nephews visit wasn’t planned.
Anna’s story took me a lot of time and I tried to do my best with the writing.
This update was way harder than the Elise/Mathilde one because I had to create almost everything from scratch, while Elise/Mathilde had a lot of stuff reworked, so it was way easier to deliver a lot of content in the v1.7 than in this version.
But I think I’ve managed to deliver enough animations so you guys can have a good time.
Anyway, let’s not waste any more time, I hope you like this new version.

v1.7.1

Hey guys, I hope these 5 extra days weren’t too hard to bear!

Elise and Mathilde have suffered from poor animation quality since the first versions.
For example, Elise had the worst animation of the whole game (the facefuck in the classroom)
Fortunately, it was finally their turn to receive an update so I was able to improve the existing animations and make a few others.

Also, their stories were really rushed. Once you spotted Elise helping Mathilde cheat, you basically could blackmail her on that single fact to unlock 5 scenes with her.
Where’s the corruption buildup in this? It had to get some changes.

On the other hand, the second part of their arc (once you unlock their home) was pretty good, so I have made Elise and Mathilde way more resistant to the MC’s first attempts, by adjusting their first quests.

I also had 5 extra days to work on that update compared to the other updates. I am honestly not sure if you will be able to see the difference, so I would appreciate any feedback about the length of this update.

Lastly, if you didn’t read my public posts, you guys will have to vote in a few days to tell me if you want to stick to the 14 days update formula, or if you liked all the in-between events I’ve added between the sex scenes in this update, to make them feel more rewarding.

If you feel like I should make more animations and less quests leading to them, this is also a possibility if you’re seduced by the 3 weeks update idea but would like to have it done differently.

Before voting in a few days, keep in mind this was a 19 days update, not a 21 days one. Two extra days could give you one or two more animations, or a fair amount of quests leading to one of them.

I’ve faced a few issues while working on this update and I wasn’t able to finish Catherine’s animation on time.
I don’t think a double poll winner was a good idea as they tend to have the most elaborate animations and I clearly couldn’t handle two poll winners in one update.

Therefore, Catherine’s winning scene is delayed to the v1.7 and I won’t make double poll winners anymore.

Damn, this version is something else.
My back hurts from that chair, but I’ve got something juicy to deliver today.
Therefore, the subgoal has been adapted accordingly.

So basically, what happened is Sarah won the poll out of nowhere.
She’s one of the most unpopular character and yet, I had put her in the poll to fill it with more options and would have never guessed she’d win.
Which is actually great because she only had two animations.

The thing is her story was basically tutoring in the pool get a titjob and that’s it.
I was unhappy with Sarah’s model, she looked more like a 32 years old woman hitting the gym than a young student homeschooled.

So I made the decision to change her 3D model. But don’t worry, this time I’m keeping her old animations and update them to the new model, except one transfered to another character for story purpose. So you don’t lose content.

According to me, it fits way more to her character, you guys will tell me after you’ve played all the 19 new quests for her (yes).

She’s having the angle of her winning scene changed because the POV was just a failure and I didn’t want to deliver this. The scene is still fire tho.

The thing is it just took me a lot of time so I’m delaying the Belle scene for the next version.

v1.3Here we go.

This update introduces a new animation tier again, the legendary tier.

It defines all the animations having thousands of frames.

For example, Laura’s fight on the school’s roof is a legendary one.

I gave it a name so the future changelogs can use “epic” and “legendary” according to their definitions.

Also, if you haven’t read the announcement on Discord, I had to change the poll winner from “Interactive Sleep sex scene” to “Interactive BDSM scene”.
Please check the announcement channel on Discord if you want to know why.

I think the v1.3 is one of the most elaborate update I’ve dropped so far, regarding the number of hours I’ve put into it, and especially because it contains not one, but TWO legendary animations.

Therefore, the sub goal will be adjusted according to the extra work put into the v1.3

Anyway, I won’t say “I hope you’ll like this update” as I always do everytime I write a changelog.

Oh boy that’s some juicy update I’m telling ya.
This version introduces a new type of animation tier, the “epic” one.
From now, when you read “new epic scene” in the changelog, it means the character has a complex scene including many animations that match together

Now, before I drop the v1.1 changelog, I have to settle the score with a small part of F95 users, here is a message for you:
I’m honestly exhausted to have to explain obvious things to you everytime I release a new version, so I’m going to set the record straight with you on certain points and act accordingly if they’re not respected by a majority :

1 – If you come from a version older than v0.8 and cry about the fact you have to start over again to do the same things since the rework :
Check the definition of a rework you dumbass, what do you expect to keep from the old save ? You don’t have to do the same things again since these things got REMOVED or REWORKED, it’s not even the same game than before the v0.8, so how are you gonna have to start again things that don’t exist anymore ?

2 – If you cry about the missing scenes that disappeared from versions before the v0.8 :
They are not coming back ! The only exception being Anna’s deepthroat in the shower which is receiving a major improvement to match the current animation’s quality.
“Gnegnegne still most of the content is missing…” Shut the fuck up, I’ve put more content in 4 months than most games did in 1 year and a half, you’re in no position to lecture me about anything when so many Koikatsu based game are not using a single custom animation and just use shitty stock loop ones delivered with the engine instead, and when so many DAZ Studio based game deliver three crappy 24fps animations every 3 months. Now get the fuck out of this thread.

3 – If you cry about how the game includes too many controversial tags and feel the need to write your opinion on this thread :
Maybe filter out 80% of my current tags before deciding to try the game ? You see all these tags combined and you’re like “Yeah maybe the narrative provided will make me forget how much the romance is lacking”. For fuck’s sake mate, get a grip.

Now, that’s unlikely to happen, but I’ll say it. If a majority manages to piss me off on these three points one more time, I’ll just stop leaking my own updates every Sunday, and you’ll have to wait at least 1 month instead of 14 days to have someone leaking it here, so you’ll have some extra free time to bitch about anything you want on other threads meanwhile.
